Holbein ranks as one of the world's finest lines of professional oil colors. The formulation of each color is modified individually to compensate for the inherent differences in the working characteristics of pigments. The result is an even consistency across the entire palette of color. Holbein maintains its quality standards by test inspection of pigment purity, color tone, applicability and adhesion, physical stability, light stability, thermo-stability, and anti-bacterial stability. Pigments are ground from three to five times as necessary to achieve a universally consistent viscosity. The manufacturing process in each of the preparation, mixing, grinding, adjustment, and filling stages is monitored by reference to optimum quality standards.

Van Aken Plastalina Modeling Clay 4.5 lb. bar terra cotta - Van Aken Plastalina (modeling clay) is a pigmented oil base modeling compound renowned throughout the world for its smooth consistency and brilliant color range. The colors are readily intermixable with ivory and white to obtain tints, with black for shades, and with each other to achieve intermediate hues. Van Aken Plastalina can be easily modeled by hand or with Van Aken double ended tools for fine detail. For certain production applications requiring multiple reproductions, Plastalina may also be melted (150Ü F/65.5ÜC) and poured into a mold. Preferred by sculptors, model makers, clay animators and artists of all ages, Van Aken Plastalina is self adhering, non-toxic, never hardens, remains pliable and plastic, and can be used time and time again. In fact, its consistency improves with age. Available in individual colors or four-color Claytoon sets (net weight 1 lb.). All four colors in each set are individually cello wrapped for freshness and color brilliance. Every four-color set includes basic instructions and Claytoon project. Sets of Claytoon modeling clay contain one 1/4 lb. stick of each of four colors. 1 lb. bars measure 4 in. x 3 in. x 1.5 in. and are ‘scored' into eight sections. 5 lb. bars measure 10.25 in. x 3 in. x 2 7/8 in.
